Can Diet Pills Keep You Slim Over the Holidays?

The holidays are a troubling time for most dieters. Food is so available….and so available in humongous quantities. It’s a miracle we don’t all gain 50 lbs. each holiday season!

It’s tough both mentally and physically, but there’s only so much you can do to abstain from all the delicious food. If something is calling your name, you’re only going to become more miserable if you don’t eat it.

That’s why weight-conscious individuals are looking for alternative means to preserve their figures throughout this years’ holiday season. Here are some tips:

#1: Use the “Three Bites Rule”

Let’s face it – abstaining from all the yummy food available this time of year is impossible. That’s why I go with the “three bites rule” – if a food is calling your name, savor three bites of it. I mean really savor it – chew on your food for a long time, let it sit in your mouth, etc. Get the most possible enjoyment out of those three bites. Now, once you have had those three bites, make a choice – continue on your diet, which you have meticulously followed so far, or let loose. If the “three bites rule” works for you, your cravings will have been satisfied, so “letting loose” isn’t going to happen. You’ll be able to stick to your diet while enjoying the foods you crave.

#2: Plan on Maintaining

Trying to lose weight during the holidays is simply a bad idea, because you’re set to fail. Well, rather than going on a full on weight loss plan, decide to maintain your weight while easing into a more healthy lifestyle.

This means getting out more to exercise, spending more time outside, playing with your kids, joining your relatives for the touch football game, etc. If you start becoming more active now, it will just make it easier to lose weight when the time comes and will prevent weight gain during this maintenance period.

#3: Use Diet Pills to Keep Your Weight Steady

You’re probably going to indulge over the holidays, which will make it nearly impossible for you to lose weight. That’s okay, though – plan on using weight loss pills to prevent weight gain during the holidays, so you come out the other end of the holidays with a smile on your face and no more fat than you have right now (and ready to lose weight for the new year). Once the holidays are over, simply up the dosages and eat less – you’ll watch the fat come skimming off in no time. People may say you just stuck to your New Year’s Resolutions, but you’ll know the truth – you stuck to the promise you made to yourself at the beginning of the holidays – to not gain any more weight and to start losing weight after the holidays.

In the end, diet pills are always going to be effective at stopping weight gain in its tracks and causing weight loss. Because the holidays are a time meant for enjoying oneself, my personal recommendation is to take small dosages of the various diet pills I’ve reviewed¬†on this site and moderate your food intake for a healthy and happy holiday season. And remember – what really matters is spending time with your family, not the few hundred calories in a delicious slice of pumpkin pie. If the worst thing you do all week is have a small cheat, you’re doing pretty well for yourself.
